How to remove windows repair virus?

I removed the fake program Windows repair virus but my desktop and start menu are still blank and I am pretty sure that there is a rootkit in there somewhere because I can’t access my antivirus.

Any program I run that tries to get rid of it gets shut down, that includes the installer for a new OS.

So how do i regain control of my computer? If I format my HDD would I be able to install a new OS?

Simply running a general purpose anti-virus or anti-spyware, even in Safe Mode, will NOT work to remove this sort of crap.

It really depends on if you remove the frame for the glass and take it in or you have some one come out and fix it. Your best bet, is to break out the rest of the glass in the frame Before you remove the frame. That way it doesn’t fall out and cut you. I went to the hardware store and picked up some glue and glass and did it my self for under 10 dollars (they even cut it for me for free!).

I just bought a 2008 VW Jetta and when I took it to get new stereo speakers installed they scratched the window. They are talking about having the window repaired or going through an insurance process to have the window replaced at the dealership. I have never had a window repaired before and was wondering if it would be a waste of time to do that instead of just having the window replaced even though it would take longer.

since they are culpable and it is a brand new car…

get a new window installed at the dealership.

You can repair windows….honestly, they usually turn out just fine….

but this is a brand new car….so get a brand new window…

Look in your local auto parts store for a windshield repair kit. They sell them there to fix chips in windshields. One inch is a pretty big chip though. Good luck.

Depends on how broken. You could just replace them, or take them somewhere to be fixed.

I seriously doubt you can ‘repair’ the motor. Usually the window motor parts and labor would run between two and 3 hundred bucks installed at a shop that gives you a warranty.

Bro!

I don’t understand because all of operating system comes with cover & on that cover there is product key. So that pass word u are talking about is product key. If u don’t hav the other computer, go to nearest internet cafe & visit the ur OS manufacture’s they will help.

I have a 1994 Ford Tempo, and my driver’s side window doesn’t roll up or down. When I press the switch I can hear the motor, but nothing moves so it most be off balance or something. I can force the window up or down, but it’s a pain and I don’t want to risk breaking it completely.
Anyone have an estimation on the cost to repair/replace it?

If the motor is still working, it’s likely the window regulator that is gone. The cost depends on if you have a Tempo sedan or coupe.
